A tennis venue that added two padel courts in March 2025, kept them open to guests, and priced them like a venue rather than a venue.

Two courts is the smallest entry on Munich's list and, for eight friends, the most sensible. The Münchner Sportclub is a members' tennis venue in Feldmoching — two indoor granulate courts, three clay courts under an air dome, and since the end of March 2025 two padel courts, floodlit and open until 22:00. Non-members book them through Playtomic; the venue's own tennis courts stay on its eBuSy system, which is why searching for this place turns up two booking platforms.

The booking rules are unusually specific and worth reading before you plan a Wednesday. Weekdays before 16:00 you can only start on the hour; after 16:00 and at weekends bookings have to be gapless, meaning they must butt against the previous one. Members can reserve fourteen days out, guests seven — so a fixed weekly group of guests is booking a week at a time, not a month.

Getting there

The far north of the city, past Am Hart, and the free parking on site tells you how most people arrive. If your group is coming from the centre, this is a drive; if it lives in the north, it is the closest padel in Munich and the cheapest.

Running a session here

Münchner Sportclub has 2 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 8 to 10 players. 8 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 10 players, 2 people sit out each round. 2 courts tops out at 10 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 8 players is 7 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 4 rounds on 2 courts.

If you book fewer courts

Two courts is eight players, and eight is the group size at which a full Americano rotation actually finishes: seven rounds, which a 90-minute booking covers comfortably at 16 points a round. That is a genuinely complete table at the end of the evening, which no big venue can offer a small group.

The floodlights are switched on in 60-minute blocks from a button by the fuse box — worth knowing before the light goes and somebody goes looking for staff. Cancellation is 24 hours, and guests can only book seven days ahead, so a recurring session needs a reminder in the calendar rather than a standing reservation.

Common questions

Can non-members play padel at the Münchner Sportclub?
Yes, through Playtomic. Members can book fourteen days ahead and guests seven, and cancellation is 24 hours.
How many padel courts are there?
Two, both outdoors and floodlit, in use since the end of March 2025. The floodlights run in 60-minute blocks from a switch on site.
How long can you book for?
60 or 90 minutes. Before 16:00 on weekdays you start on the hour; after 16:00 and at weekends bookings must run on directly from the one before.
