Sanur Padel Club: three courts, a garden, and a per-person price
The most community-run venue in Sanur — three covered courts ringed with palms, a barista cafe attached, three named coaches, and a price quoted per player rather than per court.

Sanur Padel Club sits on Jl. Danau Poso in Sanur Kauh, and it reads more like a neighbourhood venue than a destination venue: three covered courts on artificial grass in a tropical garden, a barista cafe attached to the clubhouse, a seating area where people watch the game before theirs, and a pro shop. The Sanur catchment is residents and longer-stay visitors rather than a week's holiday, and the venue is built for that.
Pricing is per person and, on the venue's own list, Rp100.000 for sixty minutes and Rp150.000 for ninety. The rule to know before you organise anything is the floor: if fewer than four people play, the booking still pays for four. There is no way to run a cheap three-person session here, and the venue says so plainly.
Coaching runs in three named tiers — head coach Alex, senior coach Bimo and junior coach Made — with prices that fall steeply as the group grows: an hour one-to-one with Alex is Rp1.000.000, while four people sharing him are Rp325.000 each, court, rackets and balls included. Booking goes through MATCHi or the venue's own site, and MATCHi also carries open-match bookings by level, which is how a solo player gets a game rather than a court.
One caution on prices: the third-party directories quote several different numbers for this venue, including an off-peak Rp60.000 and a peak Rp90.000, and a flat Rp120.000. The figures above are the venue's own published list, which is the one to trust.
Getting there
Jl. Danau Poso No.58 in Sanur Kauh, near the southern end of the Sanur beach strip. Sanur is the calm side of the island for driving, which is part of why the venue's regulars are regulars.
Running a session here
Sanur Padel Club has 3 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 12 to 16 players. 12 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 16 players, 4 people sit out each round. 3 courts tops out at 16 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 12 players is 11 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 6 rounds on 3 courts.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
Three courts is twelve on court and a ceiling of sixteen, four resting each round at the top. Twelve is the natural size here and it is a good one — a rotation with nobody sitting out.
At twelve players an Americano needs eleven rounds. Ninety minutes gives six at 32 points and thirteen at 16, so set the target at 16 and the full rotation finishes with two rounds spare. That is the specific reason to bring twelve rather than sixteen to this venue.
King of the Court also fits on three courts: six rounds needed against the six a ninety-minute booking gives at 32 points. Exactly, with nothing spare — so start on time.
Because the price is per person with a four-player floor, an odd number is expensive. Eleven people on three courts pay for twelve either way; twelve people pay the same and everyone plays.
