Bali Social Club sits on Jl. Kayu Tulang Selatan a few minutes from Berawa, and it is built as a wellness venue that happens to have seven padel courts rather than a padel venue with a gym bolted on. The recovery wing runs a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and ice baths; the gym is fitted out with LifeFitness equipment; and the class timetable includes padel-specific HIIT alongside ordinary strength sessions.
The court sheet has a wrinkle worth knowing before you book for a group. The venue's own description says seven courts in singles and doubles configurations, while Playtomic's live sheet lists five bookable courts plus a separately priced centre court. A singles court seats two, not four, so if you are planning a rotation for sixteen people the number that matters is how many doubles courts you actually hold — ask when you book rather than counting the sheet.
Pricing is per court and splits four ways: Rp660.000 for sixty minutes or Rp840.000 for ninety on a standard court, Rp740.000 and Rp940.000 on the centre court. That is around Rp165.000 to Rp185.000 a head for an hour, and the venue sells prepaid credit — Rp10 million buys Rp12,5 million of court time and coaching, which is worth it only if you are playing weekly.
Getting there
Canggu, a short ride from Berawa and central Canggu. Like every venue on this side of the island the practical constraint is traffic rather than distance — the Berawa strip at six in the evening is slower than the map suggests, so tell your group to leave earlier than they think.
Running a session here
Bali Social Club has 7 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 28 to 37 players. 28 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 37 players, 9 people sit out each round. 7 courts tops out at 37 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 28 players is 27 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 14 rounds to climb 7 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
| 5 | 20 | 26 |
| 6 | 24 | 32 |
| 7 | 28 | 37 |
Seven doubles courts is twenty-eight players on court and a ceiling of thirty-seven, with nine resting each round at the top. Almost nobody has thirty-seven people; the ladder below is the more useful half of this page, and for a group of sixteen you want four courts and not seven.
At twenty-eight players a full Americano rotation needs twenty-seven rounds and ninety minutes gives six at 32 points or thirteen at 16 — so the rotation cannot finish at that size in any configuration. Run a Mexicano, set one target, and let the leaderboard do the work.
The centre court costs Rp100.000 more per booking than the others. Put your group's last round on it rather than the first: a final with the good court and somewhere to stand around it is worth the difference, and paying it for a warm-up is not.
The recovery floor is a genuinely useful answer to sit-outs. On a big rotation the people waiting a round have a sauna to sit in rather than a plastic chair, which changes how long a group tolerates being twenty-one deep on four courts.
Common questions
- How many padel courts does Bali Social Club have?
- Seven, according to the venue and the Bali directories, in a mix of singles and doubles configurations. Playtomic's live booking sheet lists five plus a separately priced centre court, so confirm the doubles count when you book for a group.
- What does a court cost?
- Rp660.000 for sixty minutes and Rp840.000 for ninety on a standard court; Rp740.000 and Rp940.000 on the centre court. Split four ways that is roughly Rp165.000 to Rp185.000 a person for an hour.
- Is there anything besides padel?
- A LifeFitness gym, HIIT and strength classes, and a recovery area with sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and ice baths. The venue is built as a padel-and-wellness venue rather than courts alone.
