BPA is the most serious padel build on the island: seven covered courts on texturised turf certified by the Spanish Padel Federation, tournament-standard lighting throughout, and a centre court with built-in gallery seating for two hundred. It is the international home of the NOX Future Academy, which is why the coaching roster reads like a tour entry list and why the courts are specified the way they are.

Two of the seven — Court 5 and the NOX Stadium — are AIBALL-powered, meaning ball tracking and match data rather than just a camera. For a group working on anything technical that is a different session from a normal booking, and it is priced accordingly at the top of the venue's range.

The pricing is the thing to notice as an organiser, because BPA quotes per person and not per court: Rp150.000 each for sixty minutes, Rp195.000 for ninety, Rp280.000 for a full two hours, with a racket at Rp50.000. Four players on a ninety-minute court is therefore Rp780.000 and everyone knows their share before they arrive. Singles is charged at the same per-court price as doubles, so two people pay four people's money.

The site is family-facing in a way most padel venues are not — a kids' zone with babysitting, a restaurant, and rice-field views from the deck — and there is a sauna and ice bath if you want the recovery half of the day too.

Getting there

Jl. Babakan Kubu, inland of Berawa and about a quarter of an hour on a scooter from central Canggu. There is no public transport worth the name, so everyone drives or rides; the venue is set back in the rice fields, which is the point but does mean the last few hundred metres are narrow.

Running a session here

Bali Padel Academy has 7 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 28 to 37 players. 28 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 37 players, 9 people sit out each round. 7 courts tops out at 37 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 28 players is 27 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court needs about 14 rounds to climb 7 courts, and the booking gives 6.

If you book fewer courts

Seven courts is twenty-eight on court and a ceiling of thirty-seven. At twenty-eight a full Americano wants twenty-seven rounds and ninety minutes gives six at 32 points or thirteen at 16 — the rotation cannot complete, so a group that size runs a Mexicano.

Because the price is per head, the two-hour rate is the one to compare. Rp280.000 for 120 minutes against Rp195.000 for 90 buys eighteen rounds at 16 points instead of thirteen, and at sixteen players a two-hour booking is the only way an Americano finishes here: fifteen rounds needed, eighteen available.

Book the stadium court for the last thirty minutes if the group has a final worth watching. Two hundred seats is more audience than any social session needs, but the difference between a decider on court six and a decider in front of a gallery is the reason people remember a session.

Ask about the AIBALL courts only if the group actually wants the data. For a mixed social group they cost more and change nothing about the game; for four people drilling the same shot they change everything.

Common questions

How much does it cost to play at Bali Padel Academy?
Prices are per person: Rp150.000 for sixty minutes, Rp195.000 for ninety and Rp280.000 for a hundred and twenty. That is Rp600.000, Rp780.000 and Rp1.120.000 for a court of four. Racket rental is Rp50.000 and singles costs the same as doubles.
How many courts are there, and are they covered?
Seven, all covered with open sides, on turf certified by the Spanish Padel Federation. One is a stadium court with seating for two hundred; two are AIBALL-equipped for AI ball tracking.
Do you need a membership?
No. Booking is through Playtomic and pay-and-play is the default. Prepaid credit packs give up to 25% more court time — Rp10 million buys Rp12,5 million of credit — but nothing requires membership.
