Liga.Tennis Sanur: two padel courts, and everything else as well

A full racquet venue on the Sanur bypass where padel is one sport among several — which makes it the wrong venue for a twenty-person rotation and the right one for a group that does not all play the same game.

Liga.Tennis Sanur is a multi-sport venue rather than a padel venue, and the distinction matters when you are organising. The site holds five or six indoor tennis courts, two padel courts, two pickleball courts and a squash court, plus a gym, a gymnastics hall, a sauna with a pool, a lounge, a cafe, a sports shop and changing rooms with showers. Padel is a wing of it, not the reason it exists.

The padel courts are covered but open-sided, which puts them a tier below IndoPadel's enclosed hall for wet-season reliability and level with most of Canggu. Pricing is by time of day rather than by court: Rp300.000 an hour off-peak between 07:00 and 16:00, Rp350.000 at peak between 16:00 and 21:00. Off-peak here is one of the cheaper covered-court rates on the island.

The venue is on the Liga.Tennis network and books through its own app, which also handles partner matching and sparring sign-ups — no membership required for a one-off court. A hitting partner is Rp200.000 and a coach Rp500.000, which is worth knowing if your group is three people and a beginner.

The court count is the one fact the sources disagree on. Two independent directories say two padel courts and one says four; two matches the venue's description of a racquet venue whose main business is tennis. Ask when you book if you need three courts.

Getting there

On the Ngurah Rai bypass at Sanur, which is the easiest venue on this list to reach by car from almost anywhere in the south — it is on the main road rather than down a lane, and that is most of its practical appeal.

Running a session here

Liga.Tennis Sanur has 2 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 8 to 10 players. 8 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 10 players, 2 people sit out each round. 2 courts tops out at 10 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 8 players is 7 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 4 rounds on 2 courts.

If you book fewer courts

Two courts is eight on court and a ceiling of ten, two resting each round. This is a venue for eight people, and trying to bring sixteen here means half your group watching.

At eight players an Americano needs seven rounds, and an hour at 21 points gives six — one short. Set the target at 16 points and an hour gives eight rounds, so the rotation finishes; or book ninety minutes and it is comfortable at either target.

Off-peak is the whole argument for this venue. Two courts from 14:00 is Rp600.000 for an hour against Rp700.000 after 16:00, and mid-afternoon here is genuinely playable because the courts are covered.

For a mixed group this is the one venue in the city where the people who do not want to play padel have somewhere to go — tennis, pickleball, squash, the gym or the sauna, all on one site and one booking app.
