Jungle Padel Ubud: the rice-field courts, not the beach ones
The one Jungle site that is not on the Canggu belt — four courts on Jl. Raya Laplapan in Petulu, with a view the beach venues cannot copy and a drive most Canggu groups underestimate.

Reviews of this venue keep repeating the same geography because it is the point: the courts sit high, with rice fields and palms around them, on Jl. Raya Laplapan No.17 in Petulu, Gianyar — Jungle's own Ubud site publishes that address. It opened as the network's first inland venue, and it still feels like one. Bam Bam, five minutes south in Mas, is a different operator with a spa; this is Jungle, with Jungle's app and Jungle's coaches.
The price card is closer to Canggu than to Pererenan: Rp520.000 / Rp400.000 for an hour and Rp640.000 / Rp520.000 for ninety, and this is the branch that also cheapens the racket — Rp40.000 with a KTP or KITAS against Rp50.000. Lessons are sold as a package (court, coach, racket, balls) rather than as a coach add-on, which is the other thing the Ubud page does differently.
Getting there
Jl. Raya Laplapan No.17, Petulu, north of central Ubud. From Canggu or Seminyak this is an hour-plus, the same warning Bam Bam carries, and it is the reason a mixed Ubud–Canggu group should pick one island and stay there. Booking WhatsApp is +62 811 3886 2555.
Running a session here
Jungle Padel Ubud has 4 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.

Four courts is sixteen on court and a ceiling of twenty-one. At eight, two courts to 21 in ninety minutes finishes an Americano. At sixteen, Mexicano.
The drive is the session cost nobody puts on the invite. If half the group is in Berawa, they will arrive late, pay the visitor rate, and remember the traffic more than the rice.
