Jungle Padel opened in Pererenan in 2022 and has a decent claim to being Indonesia's original padel venue; it is now an M3 Padel Academy Diamond partner with a network that reaches as far as Surabaya. The four courts sit beneath a permanent roof with open sides, on official WPT Mondo synthetic grass built to international specification — which is a real distinction on an island where a lot of turf is simply green.
Two things make it unusually practical for organisers. The first is the closing time: courts run from seven in the morning until midnight, which is two hours later than almost everything else in the Canggu area and turns a late finish from a problem into a booking. The second is the resident rate — Rp640.000 for ninety minutes with a KTP or KITAS against Rp760.000 without, and Rp440.000 against Rp520.000 for an hour.
The venue's own app carries the booking and a matchmaking feature for players short of a fourth, so a solo player can find a game rather than a court. There is a restaurant and a pro shop on site, free parking, and rackets at Rp50.000.
Getting there
Jl. Sempol in Pererenan, west of Canggu and a scooter ride from Berawa or Pererenan itself. Free parking on site, which is worth more here than the sentence suggests.
Running a session here
Jungle Padel Pererenan has 4 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
Four courts is sixteen on court and a ceiling of twenty-one. At sixteen an Americano needs fifteen rounds against the six a ninety-minute booking gives at 32 points, so play a Mexicano at that size or take two hours, where eighteen rounds at 16 points completes the rotation.
The midnight close is the scheduling advantage worth using. A 21:00 or 22:00 start is bookable here and almost nowhere else nearby, which for a group of people who all finish work at different times is the difference between a session and a group chat.
The resident rate makes the split awkward, so decide the rule before you invite: either everyone pays the same share of the higher rate, or whoever holds the KITAS books and the group splits the lower one. Sorting that out afterwards, in cash, at midnight, is worse.
For eight people, book two courts and set the target at 21 points — ten rounds in ninety minutes against the seven an eight-player Americano needs, so the rotation finishes with room to spare.
Common questions
- How much does it cost to play at Jungle Padel Pererenan?
- Rp520.000 per court for sixty minutes and Rp760.000 for ninety, or Rp130.000 and Rp190.000 a head with four players. Indonesian residents with a KTP or KITAS pay Rp440.000 and Rp640.000. Rackets are Rp50.000.
- Are the courts covered?
- Yes. All four sit under a permanent roof with open sides for airflow, on official WPT Mondo synthetic grass, so rain does not cancel a booking.
- How do you book?
- Through the Jungle Padel app or the venue's online booking at junglepadel.bookandgo.app. The app also has a matchmaking feature for players looking to join a game.
