IndoPadel is the first indoor padel venue in Indonesia and still the only fully enclosed one in Bali. Five panoramic courts sit under a single warehouse roof in Padangsambian, west Denpasar — not roofed with open sides, which is what most of the island means by covered, but genuinely inside. Between November and March that is the difference between a booking and a refund.
The courts are individually sponsor-named, which is either charming or odd depending on your view, and the surrounding space is unusual for a padel venue: a lounge, a coffee corner, a co-working area and a fitness area alongside the pro shop. The venue is also the home of the Bali Open tournament series, so the calendar has ranked-play windows in it that a social group should check around.
Court hire is per court, split up to four ways, and includes racket rental and Wilson balls — a small thing that removes the usual argument about who is paying for what. Live rates sit on the venue's Playtomic page; credit packs start at Rp1,5 million, which comes with a sixty-minute ball-machine session, and run up to Rp9 million for Rp10 million of credit. It is at the affordable end of the island's range rather than the premium one.
Getting there
Jl. Teuku Umar Barat in Padangsambian, west-central Denpasar, with free parking. From Canggu or Seminyak this is a drive inland rather than along the coast, which sounds worse than it is — the traffic runs the other way at the times you would go.
Running a session here
IndoPadel has 5 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 20 to 26 players. 20 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 26 players, 6 people sit out each round. 5 courts tops out at 26 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 20 players is 19 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 10 rounds to climb 5 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
| 5 | 20 | 26 |
Five courts is twenty on court and a ceiling of twenty-six, six resting each round at the top. Twenty is a big social session and this is one of the few venues on the island that seats it under a real roof.
At twenty players a full Americano wants nineteen rounds. Ninety minutes gives six at 32 points and thirteen at 16, and even two hours only gives eighteen at 16 — so a group of twenty runs a Mexicano here, and the leaderboard is the point rather than the rotation.
This is the wet-season venue. If you are organising anything in January that people have booked time off for, the enclosed roof is worth the drive to Denpasar — every other venue on this list can lose an afternoon to a storm.
Because the rate includes rackets and balls, the per-head number you announce is the whole cost. That is rarer than it sounds and makes collecting money from a group of twenty considerably less painful.
