Canggu Padel sits on Jl. Pantai Berawa, a few minutes from FINNS Beach Club and owned by the same group, which explains both the hospitality standard and the guest shuttle. Four super-panoramic courts sit under a permanent roof with open sides, high ceilings, large fans and proper lighting — the all-weather build that matters between November and March, when an uncovered court in Bali is a coin toss.
Everything else on the site is arranged around the courts rather than beside them: the Padel Cafe looks onto the play, there is a pro shop, showers and lockers, and a sauna and ice bath. Coaches Junet, Imron and Nanda run the in-house programme across beginner, improver and intermediate tracks.
For a group the interesting detail is how the venue sells more than one court. Corporate packages cover two or three courts in 90- or 120-minute sessions and run alongside normal venue operations; taking all four requires a venue buyout, with public and member play paused for the duration. If you are organising anything that needs the whole venue — a tournament, a company day — that distinction is the first thing to ask about.
Getting there
Jl. Pantai Berawa No.15, in the heart of Berawa and walkable from a good deal of Canggu's accommodation. FINNS guests have a shuttle. The Berawa road is one of the busiest on the island in the evenings, so allow more time than the distance suggests.
Running a session here
Canggu Padel has 4 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
Four courts is sixteen players on court and a ceiling of twenty-one, with five resting each round at the top. Sixteen is the number this venue is shaped for, and it is exactly one full doubles rotation across every court.
At sixteen players a full Americano needs fifteen rounds. Ninety minutes gives six at 32 points and thirteen at 16, so the rotation does not finish — book 120 minutes and eighteen rounds at 16 points completes it, or keep the ninety and run a Mexicano.
The 90-versus-120 choice is already built into the venue's corporate packages, which is a useful hint: for a group of sixteen who want a finished Americano, ask for the 120-minute version rather than trying to compress it.
Two or three courts is a package; all four is a buyout. For twelve people, three courts is the right booking and leaves the venue open around you — which is cheaper and, on a Saturday, more sociable.
Common questions
- How many courts does Canggu Padel have?
- Four super-panoramic courts, all under a permanent roof with open sides, high ceilings, fans and all-weather surfaces.
- Do you need to be a member?
- No. Courts and private coaching are bookable through the Playtomic app or the venue's own site, and Playtomic lets a group split the total between players.
- Can we book the whole venue for an event?
- Yes, as a venue buyout, which pauses public and member play on all four courts. Corporate packages covering two or three courts run alongside normal operations in 90- or 120-minute sessions.
