Homeground Padel Premiere: six courts, a sauna, and the east side's first

Homeground Padel Premiere opened at The Grand Kenjeran in August 2025 as East Surabaya's first padel venue, and with six courts it is still the biggest. Every other venue in this city is in the west; if you live in Mulyorejo or Kenjeran, this is the venue that means not crossing town.

The build is deliberately photogenic — six roofed courts on bright pink and blue carpet — and the facilities go further than most: a sauna and cold plunge, massage and physiotherapy, a cafe, a lounge, showers with hair dryers, lockers, and rental for rackets, balls and towels. It sits inside a wider sports estate alongside a golf driving range, a basketball arena and a calisthenics gym, which makes it the one venue here where a group with mixed interests all has somewhere to be.

Rates run Rp300.000 to Rp389.000 an hour depending on whether the slot is peak, and coaching with certified coaches is Rp300.000 to Rp600.000 depending on how many people share the session. Booking is through the Ayo app. Courts open at five in the morning and run to midnight, which is nineteen hours a day.

Six courts is twenty-four players on court and a ceiling of thirty-two, with eight resting each round at the top. This is the largest padel session available anywhere in Surabaya.

At twenty-four an Americano is arithmetically out of reach: the rotation needs twenty-three rounds and even two hours only gives eighteen at 16 points. Mexicano, one target, set once — and at that size the leaderboard is what people came for anyway.

Almost nobody needs six courts. The ladder below is the more useful half of this page: two courts for eight, three for twelve, four for sixteen — and at Rp300.000 to Rp389.000 each, the difference between four courts and six is real money.

The sauna and cold plunge do genuine work at this size. With thirty-two players on six courts, eight people are off court every round, and somewhere to go is what keeps them from leaving.

For twelve people, three courts and ninety minutes gives thirteen rounds at 16 points against the eleven an Americano needs. That is the booking to make if you want a winner rather than a table.
