Graha Padel Club opened in June 2025 in the Graha Famili estate in West Surabaya, and was inaugurated by Indonesia's Minister of Youth and Sports — a detail that says something about how quickly padel has been taken up here. Four indoor courts, built to International Padel Federation specification with high-grade LED lighting and rubber-backed synthetic grass, in a hall the venue describes as engineered for safety first.
The construction detail the venue leads with is unusual: German high-precision CNC work with up to ninety-five per cent domestic components. What a player notices instead is the ceiling height — reviewers keep mentioning that the hall never feels stuffy, which in Surabaya is not a small thing.
The opening hours are the real distinguishing fact. Courts run twenty-four hours a day, every day, which no other venue in this city does. Booking is through the Ayo Indonesia app, with open games listed on Reclub, and the rules are strict in a way worth reading before you organise anything: arrive ten minutes early, late arrivals do not get extra time, and once confirmed a booking cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled.
Around the courts there is a spectator stand, at. Cafe, hot showers, changing rooms, a children's play area, a pro shop and a lot of free parking. Coach Oscar Alejandro Castaneda runs the in-house programme in English.
Getting there
Graha Famili in West Surabaya, behind Expat. It is inside a residential estate rather than on a main road, so the map pin matters more than the street name — and parking, unusually, is neither paid nor scarce.
Running a session here
Graha Padel Club has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
Four courts is sixteen players on court and a ceiling of twenty-one, five resting each round at the top. Sixteen is one full doubles rotation across the venue with nobody waiting.
The hour is the constraint, not the courts. Fifty playable minutes gives six rounds at 21 points or eight at 16, and a sixteen-player Americano needs fifteen — so at that size you run a Mexicano, or you book two hours and eighteen rounds at 16 points completes the rotation.
For eight people, two courts and a target of 16 points gives eight rounds against the seven an Americano needs. That is the largest group here that finishes a full rotation inside a single hour.
The no-reschedule rule is the thing to tell your group about, not the price. A confirmed booking is spent whether people turn up or not, so collect commitments before you book rather than after.
Twenty-four-hour opening is worth more to an organiser than it sounds. The 06:00 and 22:00 slots that every other venue in the city has stopped selling are exactly the ones a group of working adults can all make.
Common questions
- What are Graha Padel Club's opening hours?
- Twenty-four hours a day, every day. It is the only venue in Surabaya that does not close, so early-morning and late-night bookings are both real options.
- How much does a court cost?
- Ayo's cheapest listed slot is Rp125.000, and the venue's usual range is around Rp250.000 to Rp350.000 depending on the time. Booking is through the Ayo app with a deposit option.
- Can a booking be cancelled or moved?
- No. The venue's rules state that confirmed bookings cannot be refunded, cancelled or rescheduled, and late arrivals do not get the time back — so arrive ten minutes early.
