The Tennisclub Degerloch added one outdoor padel court in June 2025, and the most important fact about it is the one the venue repeats on two separate pages because it gets asked so often: padel here is an extended benefit for members, and the booking system is closed to everyone else. If you are not a member, this page is a dead end and it is better to say so on the first line than four screens down.

For members it is a good court in a good place — a 500-member venue on the Hohe Eiche with six clay courts, two artificial-turf courts and two indoor courts, a clubhouse, and step-free access. The court runs on the same eBusy system as the tennis courts, so a padel slot books exactly like a Tuesday-evening singles.

If you are looking for a court in Degerloch and are not a member here, the HTC Stuttgarter Kickers is at the other end of the same street and takes non-member bookings all year.

Getting there

Bopseräcker, at the very end of the road, past the venue's tennis hall and right into the car park — the venue's own directions. Green space and other sports grounds all around, and the HTC's court a short walk back down the street.

Running a session here

TC Degerloch has one court, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 4 to 5 players. 4 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 5 players, 1 person sits out each round. One court tops out at 5 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano every pair partners every other pair inside the booking — 3 rounds, and you have 6.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 2 rounds on one court.

One court is four players. A full Americano at four is three rounds and an hour gives six at 21 points, so the rotation completes twice — which for a single-court venue is the format that fits.

Everything else depends on the membership question. Only a member can hold the booking, so a session here is organised by whoever is in the venue, with the other three as their guests.

For anything bigger than four, this is not the venue: Padel Battle in Büsnau has three courts and takes anybody's booking.
