The Good Padel Club in Cilandak Timur runs three indoor doubles courts, and what distinguishes it from the many other three-court venues in South Jakarta is that it is part of a larger group with several locations and it runs its own coaching programme, Amare Academy, rather than leaving lessons to whichever coach a player brings.
For a group of twelve, that combination is more useful than it sounds. A venue with an academy has a structured way to take on beginners, which is exactly the problem most organisers have: the four people in the group chat who want to come but have never held a racket. Here they can be handed to a programme rather than absorbed into a rotation that is too fast for them.
Booking is through the venue's own app instead of Ayo or Courtside. That is a small friction on the first visit and an advantage after it — the group's other locations are in the same app, so a group that outgrows three courts has somewhere to go without starting a new account.
Two things this page will not guess at. The venue publishes no court rate anywhere: prices appear in the app after login, and the widely-quoted "Rp400.000 to Rp600.000 an hour" figure for Jakarta is a national market estimate rather than this venue's price. It also publishes no house rules — nothing on cancellation, refunds, footwear, outside coaches or outside food — which for a group booking is worth a WhatsApp message before you commit anyone. Note too that the venue's own staff went on the record about Jakarta's 10 per cent padel tax and said rates would likely rise, so any figure you were quoted a while ago is probably low.
One correction to something circulating online: there is no VIP court here. All three are doubles courts, and the venue's own site says so.

Running a session here
The Good Padel Club has 3 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 12 to 16 players. 12 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 16 players, 4 people sit out each round. 3 courts tops out at 16 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 12 players is 11 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 6 rounds on 3 courts.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
Three courts is twelve players on court and a ceiling of sixteen, with four resting each round at the top.
At twelve an Americano needs eleven rounds and an hour gives eight at 16 points. Book ninety minutes for thirteen and the rotation completes with a winner.
For eight people, two courts and an hour gives eight rounds against the seven an Americano needs — a full rotation inside a single slot, which is the cleanest small session available here.
If part of your group has never played, this is one of the few venues with a real answer: the in-house academy can take them while the rest of you play, rather than everyone slowing down for a round.
Midnight on Friday and Saturday is the venue's advantage over its immediate neighbours, several of which stop at 22:00. A 22:30 start is a genuine option for a group that works late.
Download the app before the day, and ask two questions in the same message: the rate, and the cancellation policy. Neither is published, and a group of twelve is the wrong size to discover a no-refund rule on.
Ventilation is the recurring complaint. For a midday session in the dry season, pick one of the air-conditioned venues instead.
Common questions
- How much does it cost, and how do you book?
- The venue publishes no rate: booking runs through its own app, where prices appear after login. It is not on Ayo or a marketplace, so the app or WhatsApp is the only way to get a figure — and the venue has said publicly that Jakarta's 10 per cent padel tax would likely push rates up.
- Is coaching available?
- Yes — the venue runs its own Amare Academy programme, which makes it one of the more practical venues for a group that includes complete beginners.
- What are the opening hours?
- 06:00 to 23:00 on weekdays and 06:00 to midnight on Friday and Saturday, which is later than several neighbouring South Jakarta venues.
