Athletiqs Airdome: eleven courts inside a building held up by air
The largest padel venue in Jakarta and the strangest: eleven courts under a 22-metre ceiling inside an air-supported membrane dome with no structural frame, fully air-conditioned because the cooling system is also what holds the roof up.
Also listed as Athletiqs.

Athletiqs opened in Tanah Abang in August 2025 inside a Broadwell air dome, and the structure is not a gimmick — it is the reason the place works. There is no steel or concrete frame. The envelope is a membrane held up entirely by internal air pressure supplied by the air-conditioning plant, which means the venue is fully climate-controlled as a byproduct of standing up at all, with filtered air. In central Jakarta, on a court, in the afternoon, that is worth more than any other specification on this page.
The ceiling is twenty-two metres. A conventional padel hall gives you a fraction of that, and the difference is not cosmetic: there is no lob ceiling here and no roof to clip, so the game plays the way it plays outdoors without any of the sun. The courts sit on artificial turf, numbered one to eight, separated by thick tempered glass and black galvanised mesh, with two to three metres of clearance between them and lighting at every corner.
Eight standard courts, two VIP courts with their own private lounge and changing rooms, and a dedicated centre court with spectator areas — eleven in total, which makes this the largest padel venue in the city by a wide margin. There are also pickleball courts, and per the operator badminton and tennis.
The support building is the most thoroughly equipped on this list: a revolving-door entrance, a reception that grades rental rackets from beginner to pro, the Guten Morgen cafe with a full menu, a lounge with sofas overlooking the courts, three separate toilets and three shower rooms, eighteen lockers, a powder room with hair dryers, and QR-activated EV charging at every single car bay.
Two cautions. The rules are the bluntest in Jakarta — no cancellation, no refund, no reschedule, no outside coaching, no pets, no outside food or drink, stated in capitals. And reviewers report too few rental rackets, so a group that needs several should bring their own.
Getting there
Jl. Karet Pasar Baru Barat VII in Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang — central, and a short hop from the Sudirman corridor. Some listings give a Jl. K.H. Mas Mansyur address instead; both streets are in Karet Tengsin and it is most likely one site with two frontages, but the Karet Pasar Baru Barat address is the one the live booking platform uses.
Running a session here
Athletiqs Airdome has 11 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 44 to 58 players. 44 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 58 players, 14 people sit out each round. 11 courts tops out at 58 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 44 players is 43 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 22 rounds to climb 11 courts, and the booking gives 6.

Eleven courts is forty-four players on court and a ceiling of fifty-eight, with fourteen resting each round at the top. No other venue in Indonesia can seat a session that size.
Nobody has forty-four people, and that is the point of the ladder below rather than a reason to ignore it: this is the venue where you book four courts and know the other seven are absorbing everyone else, so a slot exists when nowhere else has one.
The air conditioning changes which hours are usable. Every other Jakarta venue's midday slots are cheap because they are punishing; here they are cheap and comfortable, which for a weekend tournament is the whole difference.
This is the only venue on this list purpose-built for an event: a centre court with spectator seating, two VIP courts with their own lounge, and a social area with sightlines. If you are running something with a final worth watching, run it here.
The 22-metre ceiling means a lob is a real shot. If your group has been playing under a low roof, expect the first few rounds to be strange — balls that were unplayable ceiling-scrapers are suddenly in.
No reschedule, no refund, no exceptions, and it is stated in capitals. Collect the money before you book.
Common questions
- How many padel courts does Athletiqs Airdome have?
- Eleven — eight standard courts, two VIP courts with a private lounge, and a centre court with spectator areas — plus pickleball courts. All are indoors inside the dome.
- What is an air dome, and why does it matter?
- The building has no structural frame: it is a membrane held up by internal air pressure from the air-conditioning system. That makes the whole venue climate-controlled with filtered air, and gives a 22-metre ceiling — far higher than a conventional padel hall, so lobs and high defensive balls play properly.
- What does it cost?
- Around Rp600.000 a session booked through Courtside. Ayo shows a Rp250.000 floor, but Ayo sells both padel and pickleball here so that figure is not reliably a padel rate. Bookings cannot be cancelled, refunded or rescheduled.
