Basic Padel Senayan: two courts, a ministerial opening, and very little published since
Two international-standard indoor courts in Kebayoran Baru, opened by Indonesia's Minister of Youth and Sports in November 2024 — and one of the few Jakarta venues that publishes almost nothing about itself.
Also listed as Basic Padel Reserve, Basic Padel.

Basic Padel was opened on 3 November 2024 by Dito Ariotedjo, Indonesia's Minister of Youth and Sports, who cut the ribbon and then played. That is a more prominent launch than any other venue on this list had, and it is close to the last thing about this venue that is firmly documented.
What is reasonably well established: two indoor courts, described as built to international standard, on Jl. Sinabung in Kebayoran Baru, with a restaurant, cafe, showers and generous parking. A mid-2025 guide put court time from around Rp400.000 an hour, which predates Jakarta's 10 per cent padel tax and may well be stale.
What is not established, and where this page will not guess: the opening hours, the booking channel, and whether coaching is available. The venue is not on Ayo, has no retrievable site of its own, and the phone numbers circulating in directories disagree with each other. Ring before you travel.
Two traps worth naming. There is more than one padel venue on this short street — another sits at Jl. Sinabung No.2 — so check the number before sending a group. And the branding is genuinely muddled: the same operation appears as Basic Padel Senayan, Basic Padel Reserve and Basic Padel Bisma across different listings, with a separate King Padel Reserve brand nearby. Confirm you have booked the venue you meant to.
Getting there
Jl. Sinabung No.5 in Gunung, Kebayoran Baru — marketed as Senayan, which is the adjacent area rather than the actual neighbourhood. Check the house number: a different padel venue operates at No.2 on the same street.
Running a session here
Basic Padel Senayan has 2 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 8 to 10 players. 8 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 10 players, 2 people sit out each round. 2 courts tops out at 10 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 8 players is 7 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 4 rounds on 2 courts.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
Two courts is eight players on court and a ceiling of ten, with two resting each round at the top. Eight is the group to bring, and there is no configuration here that takes more.
Eight is also the ideal number for the hour: two courts at 16 points gives eight rounds against the seven an Americano needs, so a group of eight finishes a full rotation with a real winner.
Do not plan a twelve or sixteen-person session here. Two courts caps this venue at a small group, which is the single most important fact on the page.
Confirm the hours and the booking channel before you commit anyone. Neither is published, and this is the one venue on this list where a group could turn up to a locked door.
The Rp400.000 figure is from mid-2025 and predates the 10 per cent entertainment tax. Treat it as an order of magnitude, not a quote.
For a four or eight-person session in the Senayan and Kebayoran Baru area this is a real option; for anything larger, the six and seven-court venues a short drive south are the answer.
Common questions
- How many courts does Basic Padel Senayan have?
- Two indoor courts, described by multiple independent listings as built to international standard. That caps a session here at roughly eight players.
- How do you book, and when is it open?
- Neither is published. The venue is not on Ayo, has no retrievable website, and directory phone numbers disagree — so contact the venue directly and confirm before travelling.
- Is this the same as Basic Padel Reserve?
- Most likely yes — the same operation appears as Basic Padel Senayan, Basic Padel Reserve and Basic Padel Bisma in different listings. A separate King Padel Reserve brand also exists nearby, and another padel venue sits at Jl. Sinabung No.2, so confirm both the name and the house number.
