Seven Padel: four courts, and the one app that solves the group payment
Opened in Jagakarsa by Taufik Hidayat — Indonesia's Olympic badminton champion, then Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports — with a venue app that lets a group split the bill instead of one person chasing it.

Seven Padel opened on Jl. Margasatwa in Jagakarsa in December 2024, and the ribbon was cut by Taufik Hidayat: Olympic badminton gold medallist in Athens, and at the time Indonesia's Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports. He played on one of the four courts afterwards, which is a better endorsement than most openings manage.
The four courts are indoor, wide, and specifically built with ventilation in mind — a detail that reads as marketing until you have played in a sealed hall in Jagakarsa in the afternoon. The venue also has pickleball courts, which makes it one of the few venues here where a group that cannot fill four padel courts still has something to do.
The reason an organiser should care, though, is the 7Padel app. It does the ordinary things — browse slots, book instantly, join open games — and then it does the thing every other padel app in Jakarta leaves to WhatsApp: split payments across a team, from a wallet, with QR check-in at the gate. Anyone who has fronted Rp1.600.000 for four courts and then spent a week collecting Rp100.000 at a time knows exactly what that is worth.
Getting there
Jl. Margasatwa No.99E in Jagakarsa, southern South Jakarta, past Lebak Bulus. It is far enough south that it draws its own neighbourhood rather than competing with Kemang, which is part of why slots here are easier to get than the map suggests.
Running a session here
Seven Padel has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
Four courts is sixteen players on court and a ceiling of twenty-one, five resting each round at the top.
At sixteen an Americano needs fifteen rounds; an hour gives eight at 16 points and two hours gives eighteen. Book the two hours if you want the rotation to actually finish.
Use the app's split payment rather than fronting the booking yourself. It is the one thing this venue has that the expensive ones do not, and it removes the single most tedious part of organising a session.
The pickleball courts are a real fallback for an awkward number. Fourteen people is a bad padel session and a fine mixed one — twelve rotate on three courts and the other two play something else.
For eight people, two courts at 16 points gives eight rounds against the seven an Americano needs, and the rotation finishes inside the hour.
