KYZN is a members' sports venue in Kuningan with a gym, a pool and studios, and padel on the roof. The important thing for an organiser is that you do not need to be a member: two rooftop courts are sold publicly through Ayo, which makes it one of the very few venue-quality venues in the central business district that a group can simply book.

Be careful with the court count, because the venue and the booking platform disagree for a reason. The venue's own community page lists seven padel courts; Ayo sells two, on the ninth-floor rooftop. The rest sit behind membership. This page plans a session around the two you can actually buy, because session maths built on courts you cannot book is worse than no maths at all. If your group is large, ask the venue directly what it will release — that phone call is the single most useful thing you can do here.

The courts are open to the sky, and the venue's rain policy is unusually precise about what that costs you: rain in the first thirty minutes with the court called unplayable earns one free reschedule, between thirty and forty-five minutes earns a half reschedule, and after forty-five minutes nothing. One per booking, to be used within fourteen days, and if you choose to play on through the rain you forfeit it. The unit manager's call on playability is final.

Two caveats from recent visitors, because the rooftop was still being finished through mid-2026: there is no water heater and the shower pressure is weak, there is no cafe on the rooftop level, and no staff are stationed up there — any question means going down to the lobby.

One rule to clear before you plan anything: organising a match or an event here needs the venue's permission. A social session between friends on a court you have booked is fine; anything that looks like a tournament, a league or a branded event is a conversation with management first.

Getting there

Jl. Karet Sawah in Karet Semanggi, Setiabudi — inside the Kuningan business district, walking distance from a large number of offices, which is the entire reason to choose it over a cheaper venue further out.

Running a session here

KYZN Kuningan has 2 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 8 to 10 players. 8 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 10 players, 2 people sit out each round. 2 courts tops out at 10 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 8 players is 7 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 4 rounds on 2 courts.

If you book fewer courts

Two bookable courts is eight players on court and a ceiling of ten, with two resting each round at the top. Plan for eight.

Eight is the number that works best here anyway: two courts and an hour gives eight rounds at 16 points against the seven an Americano needs, so a group of eight finishes a full rotation with a real winner inside one slot.

Do not plan a twelve or sixteen-person session on the Ayo listing. Only two courts are sold publicly; ask the venue what it will release from the members' courts before you invite anyone.

The night rate is Rp500.000 against Rp400.000 off-peak, and a reviewer paying it thought it poor value. On two courts for eight people that is the difference between Rp100.000 and Rp125.000 a head — worth shifting the session earlier for.

Rain costs you a reschedule at best and the whole slot at worst, on a sliding scale by how far into the session it arrives. Read the policy before a wet-season booking, and know that playing on through it forfeits the reschedule entirely.

Organising a match or event needs permission. If your session has a name, a bracket or a sponsor, ask first.

The location is the value. For a group who all work in Kuningan or Sudirman, an eight-person session on the roof at 18:00 beats a cheaper venue nobody can reach by then.

Common questions

Do I need to be a KYZN member to play padel?
No. Two ninth-floor rooftop courts are sold to non-members through the Ayo app, with no membership gate. The venue's own listing names seven padel courts, but the others sit behind membership — and KYZN does sell a separate Padel Club Pass, so members likely get better rates or booking windows.
What happens if it rains?
The courts are open to the sky and the policy is graded: rain in the first thirty minutes with the court called unplayable earns one free reschedule, thirty to forty-five minutes earns a half reschedule, and after forty-five minutes there is nothing. One per booking, usable within fourteen days, and playing on through the rain forfeits it.
Can we run a tournament there?
Not without asking. The venue's rules require permission to organise a match or an event, so anything beyond a booked social session needs to be cleared with management first.
