Homeground Padel in Kedoya has four courts: three under a permanent roof and one fully open to the sky. That fourth court is why this venue has something none of the others do — a written rain policy. Rain in the first thirty minutes and you get a full refund; after thirty minutes, nothing. It applies only to the outdoor court, and it is precisely the risk you take when you book it.

Everywhere else in this city, an open court and a downpour is an argument with a receptionist. Here it is a published rule, and that is worth more than an extra amenity. Technical failures — a repair, a power cut — are compensated with a replacement slot the following week rather than cash.

The other thing to know before booking two courts is that the four are not next to each other. A reviewer complains about exactly this, and for a Mexicano or an Americano across two courts it is a real problem: half your group is somewhere else, out of sight of the other half, and a rotation that depends on everybody hearing the round called does not work well spread across a site.

Courts are turf carpet, recently re-laid on at least some of them, with good air circulation and no glare. Around them: a cafe and restaurant, hot shower, musholla, changing rooms, vending machines and parking — with the caveats that there is only one shower room and that the prayer space is a corner of the storeroom rather than a proper musholla. Outside coaches are banned; the venue runs its own classes.

One naming trap. There is a second, separate venue a few hundred metres away — Homeground Padel Premiere Kedoya on Jl. Pilar Raya — with its own Ayo page, its own prices and only two courts. Most Indonesian listicles conflate them. This page is the Kedoya Pilar venue.

Jl. Kedoya Pilar in Kedoya Selatan, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. Check you are heading to Homeground Padel Kedoya and not Homeground Padel Premiere Kedoya on Jl. Pilar Raya, which is a different venue with different courts.

Running a session here

Homeground Padel has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.

If you book fewer courts

Four courts is sixteen players on court and a ceiling of twenty-one, with five resting each round at the top — but read the adjacency note before you book all four.

The courts are not side by side. For twelve people on the three roofed courts, find out which three and whether they are together; a rotation split across a site loses a round to walking every time it changes.

At sixteen an Americano needs fifteen rounds and an hour gives eight at 16 points. Two hours gives eighteen and completes it.

Book the roofed courts and treat the outdoor one as the overflow. It is the court with the rain risk, and the venue's own rule tells you the risk is real enough to write down.

Ayo offers a free reschedule up to one day before on some slots here, which most Jakarta venues refuse outright. Worth having if your group is unreliable.

You cannot bring an outside coach. The venue runs its own classes and events instead.

Common questions

How many courts does Homeground Padel Kedoya have?
Four: three roofed and one fully outdoor, on turf carpet. They are not adjacent to one another, which matters if you are booking more than one for a rotation.
What happens if it rains?
For the outdoor court, the venue publishes a rain policy: rain within the first thirty minutes earns a full refund, and after thirty minutes there is no refund. It is the only Jakarta venue on this list with a written rain rule.
Is this the same as Homeground Padel Premiere?
No. Homeground Padel Premiere Kedoya is a separate venue a few hundred metres away on Jl. Pilar Raya with two roofed courts and its own prices. The same group also runs Homeground Padel Premiere at The Grand Kenjeran in Surabaya.
