Thirteen thousand square metres inside and out, on the site of the former Pro Tennis Hamburg. Indoors there are four doubles courts and two singles; outdoors, in season, six more doubles courts, plus six clay tennis courts that survived the conversion. That is twelve padel courts in July and six in January, and no directory entry makes that distinction — which is exactly the thing that ruins a session booked in advance.
The pricing is the most granular of any Hamburg venue. Doubles are €36 on weekday mornings, €44 from 16:00 and at weekends, and €24 between 23:00 and 06:00; singles run €24, €28 and €12 on the same brackets. A midnight doubles court for €24 is the cheapest court in the city, and the venue means it — the night rate is a published bracket, not a favour.
Getting there
North Hamburg, on the Glashütter Landstraße, and under a kilometre from Aspria Alstertal — the two together make this the densest padel corner in the city. Parking is on site, which is how most people arrive.
Running a session here
Padelon Hamburg Hummelsbüttel has 10 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 40 to 53 players. 40 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 53 players, 13 people sit out each round. 10 courts tops out at 53 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
- The 2 singles courts are left out of those numbers — they seat two, so they take no round of a four-player rotation. Useful for a warm-up, or for whoever is sitting one out.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 40 players is 39 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 20 rounds to climb 10 courts, and the booking gives 6.

Ten doubles courts in summer is forty players on court and a ceiling above fifty; four doubles in winter is sixteen and a ceiling of twenty-one. Plan the group to the season, not to the venue — a forty-person invitation for a February evening does not fit in this building.
At sixteen players a full Americano rotation is fifteen rounds, and an hour gives six at 21 points or eight at 16. Book two hours for the rotation to finish, or run a Mexicano inside the hour. In summer at forty players the Americano is off the table entirely.
The 23:00 night rate cuts a doubles court from €44 to €24. For a group that can start at 22:00, that halves the evening's bill — and the hall is quiet, which for a first session with beginners is worth more than the money.
