PadelCity's Frankfurt site: three outdoor courts on artificial turf on the Kennedyallee in Sachsenhausen, with a restaurant on the grounds and no membership to join. The 07:00 opening is the fact to build a plan on — of the Frankfurt venues this is the earliest, and a court before work in Frankfurt-Süd is a genuinely different proposition from an evening slot fought over by the whole city.
Booking runs through PadelCity's own app rather than Playtomic, which matters if your group already lives in one booking app and not the other. Prices are €30 for sixty minutes on weekdays until 16:00 and €38 after that, all day at weekends and on public holidays. The venue states 07:00 to 21:30 daily while several directories print 07:30 to 22:30 — the venue's own page is the one to trust for a late booking.
Getting there
The Kennedyallee runs through Sachsenhausen on the south bank, so this is the venue for anyone living or working south of the Main — and the only Frankfurt padel that isn't in the north or out of town.
Running a session here
PadelCity Frankfurt has 3 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 12 to 16 players. 12 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 16 players, 4 people sit out each round. 3 courts tops out at 16 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 12 players is 11 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 6 rounds on 3 courts.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
Three courts is twelve players on court and a ceiling of sixteen. Twelve players need eleven rounds for a full Americano and an hour gives eight at 16 points, so it comes up three short: take ninety minutes or two hours and the rotation completes, or run a Mexicano inside the hour.
This is also the right size for King of the Court, which wants two rounds per court — six on three courts, exactly what an hour at 21 points gives you. It is the format the bigger Frankfurt venues cannot fit into a single booking.
Twelve players on three courts at €38 is a bit over €9 a head for the evening, and at €30 before four o'clock it is €7.50. Both are cheap enough that the money is not what decides the day.
