Padelon's Düsseldorf site sits inside the COSMO SPORTS Center in Gerresheim rather than in a hall of its own: four doubles courts, one singles court, lounge areas, and the centre's own restaurant a floor away. That is the difference from the operator's Hamburg venues, which occupy whole buildings — here the padel is one tenant among several, and the after-match logistics are already solved by somebody else.

Prices run €36 for a doubles court off-peak and €42 in prime time, singles €24 and €28, with rackets at €4. Read the brackets carefully, because Sunday is prime time all day — the one detail that catches out anyone assuming weekends are cheaper. The wallet is worth knowing about too: pay €90 and the venue credits €100.

Getting there

Gerresheim, in the east of the city, on the Diepenstraße. The centre's own parking and restaurant are the practical case for it; the phone is only answered on weekday evenings and weekend daytimes.

Running a session here

Padelon Düsseldorf has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
  • The singles court is left out of those numbers — it seats two, so it takes no round of a four-player rotation. Useful for a warm-up, or for whoever is sitting one out.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.

If you book fewer courts

Four doubles courts is sixteen players on court and a ceiling of twenty-one. Sixteen players need fifteen rounds for a full Americano, and an hour gives six at 21 points or eight at 16 — so book two hours for the rotation to finish, or run a Mexicano inside the hour.

Sunday being peak all day changes what a weekend session costs. Four doubles courts on a Saturday morning are €144; the same four on Sunday are €168, and nothing about the padel is different.

The one singles court is not a sit-out plan for twenty-one people. It is, however, exactly right for the two players who arrive an hour early, which at a venue with a restaurant in the building happens more than you'd think.
