mitte highline: seven courts in Flingern, afternoons onwards

mitte's Düsseldorf venue: seven indoor courts, six for doubles and one for singles, in Flingern on the Höherweg. Same operator as the two Hamburg venues and the same approach — designed rooms, automated booking and check-in, community leaders instead of a staffed desk — with free parking, which in this part of Düsseldorf is worth more than it sounds.

The opening hours are the thing that actually shapes how you use it. Weekdays run 16:00 to 23:00 and weekends 09:00 to 21:00, so there is no weekday morning here at all: no before-work session, no quiet Tuesday at eleven, and every weekday booking competes with everybody else's after-work plan. One more practical note — listings disagree between Höherweg 277 and 247. The booking platforms say 247; go by what your booking confirmation says rather than by a directory.

Six doubles courts is twenty-four players, and at twenty-four the Americano is out — twenty-three rounds against the six a 90-minute booking gives at 32 points. Mexicano, one target, fixed before the first round.

Plan around the clock rather than the courts. Every weekday slot here is between 16:00 and 23:00, so the whole city's after-work demand lands on the same seven courts; a large group wants a booking well ahead, or a Saturday morning, which is the one time this venue is quiet.

There is a single singles court, so it is not a sit-out strategy — at the ceiling of thirty-one, seven players rest per round and one court takes two of them. Bring a smaller group than the court count suggests, or accept real bench time.
