Rainbow Padel is not in Berlin. Niederbarnimallee 116 is in Bernau bei Berlin, north of the city toward Wandlitz, and the venue's own copy leans into that: lakes, a lounge, a rebuilt centre court with room to watch. Playtomic still lists it on the Berlin city page, which is why a host searching 'Berlin' finds it and why it belongs in this picker — but the S-Bahn ride is a different proposition from TIO TIO.

Booking is Playtomic only. The FAQ is explicit: no phone reservation, no booking on site, and the confirmation comes with a personal code that opens the court gate, so a slot still works when nobody is staffing the desk. Cancel on Playtomic up to 24 hours ahead. Changing rooms and showers are at Sportzentrum Wandlitz, a walk from the courts, against a deposit for the locker key. The venue does not publish a price list; it points at the Playtomic calendar.

Getting there

Niederbarnimallee 116, 16321 Bernau bei Berlin. From Berlin it is S2 to Bernau, then a local hop toward Wandlitz, or a drive up the A11. Budget it as a trip, not as 'the next court after PadelBros'. Free parking on site.

Running a session here

Rainbow Padel has 2 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 8 to 10 players. 8 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 10 players, 2 people sit out each round. 2 courts tops out at 10 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 8 players is 7 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 4 rounds on 2 courts.

If you book fewer courts

Two courts is eight on court and a ceiling of ten. At eight a ninety-minute slot gives ten rounds to 21 against the seven an Americano needs, so the rotation finishes. At ten you are sitting two out each round — still playable, no longer a full format.

Send the gate-code rule with the invite. Someone who expects a reception will stand at a locked court in Bernau. And decide the 24-hour cancel in advance: after that the slot is yours whether the fourth shows up or not.
