Bay Padel says one sentence about this club: welcome to our club in Sunnyvale, right by Google HQ. That is the club's entire description of itself, and rather than pad it out with material that belongs to the chain, this page is short on purpose. What is true here and nowhere else is the Google adjacency, and it is more than a landmark — the club's own terms name "Google Members" as a membership class alongside founding members and students. A padel club with a membership tier for one employer next door is telling you exactly who fills its courts on a weekday.

Four indoor courts, stated on the location page and again in the FAQ. No pickleball: the chain's membership benefits are explicit that pickleball perks apply at Dogpatch and Treasure Island only. Hours are the chain's earliest at 7am to 11pm on weekdays and 8am to 8pm at weekends, parking is free, and there is a fitness zone rather than the full gym Dogpatch has.

For everything else — the membership ladder, the coaching bench, the cancellation windows, the four-player peak booking minimum — this club is the chain, and the chain's terms are worth reading once. A Single Club membership is $139 a month or $127 on an annual commitment; a Region membership at $159 covers Sunnyvale and San Jose together, which the operator groups as "South Bay"; Multi Region at $199 covers all four. Non-members are welcome: the FAQ answers its own question with a flat no, Bay Padel is not a members-only club, and walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.

The chain's coaching bench is fronted by Marcel Felder, a former professional tennis player the club describes as ranked 82nd in ATP doubles with Wimbledon and Davis Cup appearances, and coach sparring is $70 an hour or $90 with the head pro. Levels run on WPR, the World Padel Rating, with published bands from beginner to advanced plus.

One thing to be clear about: this is Sunnyvale, roughly 64km from San Francisco, and Bay Padel itself files it under South Bay rather than San Francisco. It appears in this listing because the four clubs share one membership and one app, not because it is a plausible evening out from the city.

Getting there

Geneva Drive is in north Sunnyvale near the Moffett Park and Mountain View boundary, a short drive from Highway 101 and from Google's Mountain View campus, with free parking on site.

Public transport is thin in the way it is everywhere in this part of the peninsula: VTA light rail's Moffett Park and Lockheed Martin stops are the nearest, and most groups will arrive by car or bike.

Running a session here

Bay Padel Sunnyvale has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.

If you book fewer courts

Four courts is sixteen players with everyone on court every round, and twenty-one before the sit-out queue outweighs the court time — at twenty-one, five people rest each round.

An hour gives about six rounds at 21 points. At sixteen players an Americano wants fifteen rounds, so the rotation cannot complete and the standings are a snapshot; a Mexicano is the right call, since six rounds is enough for the re-pairing to mean something. King of the Court needs eight rounds at four courts and does not fit in an hour.

For a group of eight, book two courts rather than four. An Americano at eight needs seven rounds, an hour holds six, and ninety minutes holds ten — so the half hour, not the extra courts, is what completes the rotation.

The billing is per player and peak bookings need four players named up front, so a full sixteen-player session is sixteen individual charges: between $400 and $640 at peak depending on which of the club's two published rate cards applies, and $400 to $448 off-peak. If this is a weekly group, one Single Club membership at $139 pays for itself in about seven peak hours.

Common questions

How many courts does Bay Padel Sunnyvale have?
Four indoor padel courts, stated on the club's location page and in its FAQ. There is no pickleball here — the chain's pickleball perks apply at Dogpatch and Treasure Island only.
Is there really a Google membership?
The club's terms name "Google Members" as a membership class alongside founding members and students. The club describes itself as right by Google HQ, and the tier is the clearest sign of who plays here midweek.
Can a non-member book?
Yes. Bay Padel's FAQ answers directly that it is not a members-only club and is open to both members and non-members, with walk-ins welcome subject to availability. Non-members book seven days ahead; members book fourteen.
Is this in San Francisco?
No — Sunnyvale, about 64km south, and Bay Padel groups it with San Jose as "South Bay" in its own membership tiers. It is listed here because one membership and one app cover all four of the chain's clubs.
What does a membership cost?
A Single Club membership is $139 a month, or $127 monthly on a twelve-month commitment. A Region membership covering Sunnyvale and San Jose is $159, and Multi Region across all four clubs is $199. The club states there is no initiation fee.
