Everything about this club is the exception to its own brand. Bay Padel's other three sites are indoor and this one is not: the location page says six padel courts without qualifying it, and the operator's FAQ settles it plainly — at San Jose the six courts are outdoor. That single fact should override any impression picked up from the chain's indoor framing, because outdoor in the South Bay means a summer evening is glorious and a January morning is a different sport.

The hours are the second exception and they are more restrictive than anything else in this metro. Weekdays run 3pm to 11pm. Not 7am like Dogpatch and Sunnyvale, not 9:30am like Treasure Island — three in the afternoon. Weekend mornings are normal at 8am to 8pm. A weekday lunchtime session is not a thing you can book here, and that is worth knowing before a group organizes around one.

Those hours collide with the peak window in a way that is worth doing the arithmetic on. Bay Padel's terms put the start of peak at 4pm on weekdays; its padel page says 6pm. The club therefore opens one hour before peak on one of its own documents and three hours before it on another, and since this is the only site that opens mid-afternoon, San Jose is where that discrepancy actually costs money. Book at 3pm and you are either paying the off-peak rate or the peak one depending on which of the club's pages is operative.

It is new, and the page is written as such. The club soft-opened on 11 July 2026 with a tournament and intro sessions, drawing around 350 visitors on the day, across a 28,000 square foot site in the Creekside Socials district on the Downtown West land near SAP Center and Diridon Station. Co-owners Lucas Tepman and Matías Gandulfo run the chain. A grand opening is listed for 24 October 2026, and one press aggregation put it in September instead — the club is open and taking bookings either way, so the date is a party rather than a commissioning.

The amenity list needs reading carefully because the club marks its own gaps. Available now: on-site parking, the gear boutique, a snack bar and a lounge. Marked coming soon on the club's own page: dressing rooms and showers, the recovery area, the cold plunge and the sauna. This page lists only what exists. Parking is paid and cheap — $1.95 for up to two hours or $5.45 flat.

San Jose is its own city about 75km from San Francisco, and Bay Padel says so itself: its membership tiers file this club and Sunnyvale under "South Bay", with only Treasure Island and Dogpatch under "San Francisco". It sits in this metro's listing because the four clubs share one membership and one booking app, not because anybody should mistake it for a trip across town.

Getting there

Creekside Socials is on the Downtown West parcel beside Diridon Station, which makes this the best-connected of the four Bay Padel clubs by rail — Caltrain, VTA light rail and the Capitol Corridor all stop within walking distance, and SAP Center is across the way.

Parking is on site and metered by the club at $1.95 for up to two hours or $5.45 for a flat day rate. That is a fraction of what the same evening costs beside a downtown arena, and it is the club's own posted price rather than the neighborhood's.

Running a session here

Bay Padel San Jose has 6 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 24 to 32 players. 24 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 32 players, 8 people sit out each round. 6 courts tops out at 32 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 24 players is 23 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court needs about 12 rounds to climb 6 courts, and the booking gives 6.

If you book fewer courts

Six outdoor courts is the largest outdoor booking in this metro and it is the reason to come here rather than to the chain's indoor sites. Twenty-four players fill it with nobody resting; thirty-two is the ceiling before eight people are standing out every round.

The 3pm weekday opening is the constraint to organize around, and it is nearly an advantage. A group that plays after work has the whole evening to 11pm, which is the latest close in this metro. A group that wanted a Saturday morning has 8am. A group that wanted Tuesday at noon has nothing, and no amount of planning fixes that.

An hour holds about six rounds at 21 points. At twenty-four players an Americano wants twenty-three rounds, so you are playing a fragment of the rotation and the table is a snapshot — a Mexicano is the format that pays off at this size, and King of the Court needs twelve rounds and will not fit.

Because Bay Padel bills per player and requires four players named at booking during peak hours, a six-court peak evening here is twenty-four separate charges. Off-peak, if you can find the hour, is between $25 and $28 a head depending on which of the club's two rate cards you land on. The cheapest full session available at this club is a weekday 3pm start — assuming the terms' 4pm peak boundary is the one applied.

Two courts is eight players, and that is where an Americano nearly completes: seven rounds needed, six in an hour, one short. Ninety minutes gives ten and finishes it comfortably. On six outdoor courts in a South Bay summer, the ninety minutes is the better buy.

Common questions

Are Bay Padel San Jose's courts indoor or outdoor?
Outdoor, all six. The club's own FAQ says so directly, and it is the only outdoor site in the Bay Padel chain — the brand's indoor framing does not apply here.
Why can't I book a weekday morning?
The club does not open until 3pm on weekdays. Weekends run 8am to 8pm. It is the most restricted schedule of any venue in this metro and it reflects a club that opened in July 2026 and is still ramping up.
What is still coming soon?
Dressing rooms and showers, the recovery area, and the cold plunge and sauna are all marked coming soon on the club's own page. Parking, the gear boutique, the snack bar and the lounge are open.
Is this in San Francisco?
No — San Jose, roughly 75km south, and Bay Padel files it under its own "South Bay" region rather than "San Francisco". It appears in this city listing because all four Bay Padel clubs share one membership and one booking app.
What does an hour cost?
Between $25 and $40 per person as a non-member, depending on the hour and on which of the club's two published rate cards applies: $40 peak and $25 non-peak on its pricing table, $35 and $28 on its padel page. Members pay $20 and $10.
