Four indoor doubles courts under a twenty-five foot ceiling, named Padel 1 through Padel 4 on the booking system, fifteen thousand square feet on the second floor of the Long Island Sports Hub. Everything about the venue is stated plainly by the venue, which in this metro makes it unusual: the ceiling height is its own figure, the court names come off its own grid, and — the thing almost nobody else here does — the rate is published. A court is $160 for sixty minutes if you are a member and $220 if you are not.
That transparency runs through the rest of the price list too. Private lessons are $180 members and $240 non-members, semi-privates $85 and $115, clinics $75 for sixty minutes capped at four players, competition entry $75. Founding memberships are $100 a month for an individual, $175 for couples and $250 for a family, each with a registration fee, and each carrying 30% off bookings, fourteen-day priority booking, a members-only Adidas league, a free monthly open play and two guest passes. Memberships can be paused up to three months a year with fifteen days' notice, which is a genuinely unusual term and worth knowing if your group's season has a gap in it.
The competitive programming is live and scheduled rather than promised: a VALA Advanced Social Cup on Mondays for NPRP 3 to 7, an Intermediate Social Cup and a Beginner/Beginner+ Social Cup, sixteen-player draws running ninety to a hundred and twenty minutes at $75 a head, minimum age thirteen, with Ignacio Prieto and Sergio Fernandez coaching. There is a members-only weekly Adidas league with two hours of free play, and kids' and junior training.
Two honest caveats. Nothing here claims heating or climate control — "indoor" is as far as the venue goes, which for a second-floor hall is probably fine but is not a promise. And the venue publishes no cancellation window of its own; the only term findable is the booking platform's default, which is not the same thing.
Getting there
Eileen Way in Syosset — Nassau County, Long Island, genuinely outside New York City and about twenty-five miles from the Brooklyn venues. The venue's own framing is "Long Island, NY" and it is right to; treat this as a different market rather than a subway ride. Free parking sits right beside the building, and the courts are on the second floor with lift access. Its own address is sometimes written with Suite 200.
Running a session here
Padel& Syosset has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
Four courts is sixteen players on court together and twenty-one before the sit-out queue is the session. Sixteen is the sweet spot for this venue and it is a size most of the metro cannot seat.
This is the one venue where you can budget properly in advance. Sixteen players across four courts for an hour is $880 at the non-member rate, which is $55 a head — and $640, or $40 a head, if whoever books is a member. The 30% membership discount pays for a $100 monthly fee in roughly two full bookings.
An hour is six rounds to 21 points. A full Americano at sixteen players is fifteen rounds, so an hour is well short of one; book two hours for nine rounds, or run a Mexicano, which wants six and gets them.
Competitions cap at sixteen-player draws and clinics at four, so a group of sixteen maps exactly onto the venue's own competition format. If your group is that size, ask about a private draw rather than assembling a rotation yourself.
Common questions
- What does a court cost at Padel& Syosset?
- $160 per court for 60 minutes for members and $220 for non-members. Private lessons are $180 and $240, semi-privates $85 and $115, clinics $75. It is one of only two venues in this metro publishing a court rate.
- Can non-members play?
- Yes. The venue's own site says you can play as a member or walk in anytime, and it walks visitors through installing the booking app. Slots book in 60, 90 or 120-minute blocks.
- How many courts, and how high is the ceiling?
- Four indoor doubles courts, named Padel 1 to Padel 4, under a ceiling the venue states as 25 feet. There is no singles court. "Panoramic" is a directory claim the venue does not make.
- Is this in New York City?
- No. Syosset is in Nassau County on Long Island, roughly 25 miles from the Brooklyn venues, and the venue describes itself as Long Island. It sits in our New York metro bucket, not in the city.
