Padel Haus Greenpoint: five courts, and a website behind its own venue
The largest site in the brand and the last one it will build in Brooklyn — open since May 2026, hosting a national major in July, and still described in the future tense by its own web page.

Five indoor courts in about twenty thousand square feet by McCarren Park, which makes this the largest Padel Haus anywhere and takes the brand's Brooklyn total to sixteen courts. Treat it as open, and ignore its own website while you do: the venue's page still reads in the future tense — "Padel Haus Greenpoint will offer a premium padel experience" — and publishes no opening hours, while the venue has been taking bookings since 1 May 2026 and held its grand opening on 23 July. This is the stale-website, live-venue pattern in its clearest form, and it is the reverse of the failure that usually matters: a page written from that site alone would under-sell a working venue rather than invent one.
The strongest evidence it is genuinely operating is what it hosted straight after opening. The ULTRA OPEN USPA 2000 ran here from 24 to 26 July 2026 — one of only four Major tournaments on the USA Padel calendar. A venue that lands a national major in its first three months is not a soft launch.
One fact this page deliberately does not settle: the ceiling height. Two sources say twenty-eight feet, two say thirty-five, and the venue states none. Both figures are in circulation and the difference is the difference between a lob being a shot and a lob being a mistake, so the honest answer is that it is one or the other and the venue has not said. No surface, panoramic detail or court names are published either, and no heating or climate-control claim is made — "indoor" is the whole of it.
The founder framed this site as the end of something: "The opening of our Greenpoint club marks the closing of the door for us opening further sites in Brooklyn, as we now turn our attention to national expansion." It also opened into an awkward local news cycle, because a cheaper neighborhood venue — Padel& Greenpoint, a different operator half a mile away — was closing the same season after its lease was not renewed. The affordability question that generated is worth knowing if you are choosing between venues here on price.
Getting there
Berry Street, steps from McCarren Park. Note the name against the map: the venue is branded Greenpoint but 12 Berry St is in North Williamsburg, on the park border — the founder's own reasoning was that the site reaches players in Greenpoint, Long Island City, northern Williamsburg and the Upper East Side at once. The address we hold is correct; the neighborhood in the name is a marketing choice.
Running a session here
Padel Haus Greenpoint has 5 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 20 to 26 players. 20 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 26 players, 6 people sit out each round. 5 courts tops out at 26 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 20 players is 19 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 10 rounds to climb 5 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
| 5 | 20 | 26 |
Five courts is twenty players with everyone on court and twenty-six before the sit-out queue is the session — the largest indoor group this brand can seat in one room.
As at every Padel Haus, court time is billed per player rather than per court, and a booking without all four names is charged as you plus three non-members. Twenty players at non-member peak is around $1,300 an hour on the reported figures; off-peak roughly halves it.
At twenty players an Americano needs nineteen rounds and an hour gives six. Mexicano, one target, set once — or split into two independent groups of ten across two and three courts if your players' levels are far apart.
Five is an awkward number for a fixed-partner format: it seats twenty in ten pairs, which works, but any group of eighteen or twenty-two leaves a court part-empty and you are paying per head anyway. Book four courts for sixteen instead of five for twenty if your numbers are soft.
Confirm the ceiling height when you book if anyone in your group lobs seriously. Two of the four available figures would change how the game plays.
Common questions
- Is Padel Haus Greenpoint open?
- Yes. It has been taking bookings since 1 May 2026 and held its grand opening on 23 July 2026. Its own web page still describes it in the future tense and publishes no hours, which is a stale page rather than a closed venue.
- How many courts does it have?
- Five indoor courts, stated by the venue — the largest Padel Haus site, in roughly 20,000 square feet.
- How high are the ceilings?
- Unsettled. Two sources say 28 feet and two say 35, and the venue publishes no figure. We do not pick one.
- Is this actually in Greenpoint?
- The venue is branded Greenpoint but 12 Berry St is in North Williamsburg, on the McCarren Park border between the two neighborhoods. The address is correct; the name is a marketing choice.
