One venue in Palm Beach County publishes a complete price list, and this is it. Open play is $30 for ninety minutes. Court hire is $35 a person or $140 per court off-peak, and $40 or $160 at peak. A group clinic is $50 a head for an hour and $60 for ninety minutes; a private lesson for one or two people is $200 for an hour and $225 for ninety minutes. Booking opens a week ahead and cancellation is free at twenty-four hours. None of it is hedged with a "from", and the per-person and per-court figures reconcile exactly — $40 times four is $160 — so the club has removed the factor-of-four ambiguity that makes half the prices in this county unreadable. Open play at $30 is the cheapest padel published anywhere in the county.
The off-peak window is defined elsewhere on the club's site, in its membership small print: weekdays 11:30am to 4pm and weekends 1pm to 10pm. That definition is given for club credit rather than stamped on the rate card, so treat it as the club's working sense of non-peak rather than a label on those two rows — but note what it implies, which is that most of the weekend is the cheaper rate.
Ten indoor doubles courts, named Court 1 through Court 10 in the club's own booking system, plus an eleventh row that is a ball machine. The club states ten twice in its own words, and there is no tennis or pickleball diluting the count. Its sibling twelve miles east names its courts Padel 1 to 12, which is a small sign the two were set up separately rather than cloned.
On cooling, what the club says is "perfect lighting, acoustics and temperature" and "perfect light, air". It never says air-conditioned and never says climate-controlled about its own courts, so neither word is used here. A competitor's blog describes these ten as glass-walled and climate-controlled; that is a rival's phrasing, not the club's, and it does not get promoted to fact by being repeated.
The entry membership here is $99 a month and covers this hall only, which makes it the cheapest padel membership in Palm Beach County by a distance — the next is $150, then $250, then $275. The middle tier is $300 and covers both Xcel halls; the top one is priced on request. One trap inside those tiers: the member court prices on this page omit the words "per person" where the sibling location's page includes them, so "$35 per 90 min" on the entry tier is almost certainly per player when read against the $40 non-member rate — but the page does not say so, and it is worth confirming rather than assuming. The group-lesson prices in the membership tiers are floors, unlike the clinic prices on the rate card, so keep the two apart. An initiation fee exists on every tier and its amount is never published.
Non-members are the audience for the page that carries the prices, and the club says so in bold: "no membership required. Drop in for a game, grab a bite at on-site restaurant, or join an event. Everyone's welcome at Xcel!" Lounge access is explicitly included with a non-member court booking. The booking policy adds the usual qualification that guests may get a shorter advance window and can be held to forty-eight hours' cancellation notice, and that repeat guest play may be limited without saying by how much.
This is the older of the operator's two halls — the West Palm Beach grand-opening page looks back on it with a section headed "how it was in Westlake" — and it is the one with a sanctioned event to its name: a USPA 100 tournament on 10 January 2026, with the club's own chief operating officer and director of padel as tournament director. Nothing else in the county shows one. Partner-finding runs through a WhatsApp group the club links from its own event pages: "looking for a partner? Use our WhatsApp chat to connect with other players", and, on its amenities page, "matches made by skill, not luck".
Ten doubles courts seat forty players with nobody sitting out and stretch to about fifty-three with rotation. A ninety-minute booking gives roughly six rounds at a points target of 32. The rate card also contains the county's widest published spread in one short table: $30 for ninety minutes of open play and $225 for ninety minutes of private coaching, seven and a half times apart, on the same ten courts.
The wellness side here is described less specifically than at the sibling hall, and the difference is worth respecting rather than smoothing over. Its own amenities list names four clinical services — IV therapy, massage, chiropractic care and physical therapy, the last two at this location only — while sauna and ice plunge appear in a general lifestyle block rather than in the list for this site. Changing rooms, lockers, free parking, a pro shop and the Olea & Bloom restaurant are all confirmed in the club's own configuration; the same configuration confirms there is no cafeteria, and showers are never mentioned anywhere.
Getting there
17035 Persimmon Boulevard West in Westlake, about sixteen miles from downtown West Palm Beach, out past the Acreage. Only the two Boca Raton clubs are further from the city this bucket is named after.
The club's own materials disagree about which city it is in: every page says Westlake, while its tournament listing gives the same address as Loxahatchee. Both are defensible — Westlake is a recently incorporated city inside what everyone still calls Loxahatchee, and 33470 is the Loxahatchee ZIP — so search either.
Doors are 8am Monday to Saturday, an hour later than the West Palm Beach hall, with the same closing times. An early-morning group should use the other site.
Parking is free and on site, confirmed in the club's own booking configuration. Use the www host for its website; the bare domain does not resolve at all.
Running a session here
Xcel Padel Westlake has 10 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 40 to 53 players. 40 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 53 players, 13 people sit out each round. 10 courts tops out at 53 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 40 players is 39 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 20 rounds to climb 10 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
| 5 | 20 | 26 |
| 6 | 24 | 32 |
| 7 | 28 | 37 |
| 8 | 32 | 42 |
| 9 | 36 | 48 |
| 10 | 40 | 53 |
This is the easiest venue in the county to plan a budget around, because the club publishes both halves of the arithmetic. Four players at peak is $160 for the court or $40 each; off-peak it is $140 and $35. Open play is $30 a head and needs no group at all.
If your four can play weekdays between 11:30am and 4pm, or at a weekend after 1pm, you are in the club's own definition of non-peak. Most of the weekend counts, which is unusual.
The clinic prices on the rate card are prices; the group-lesson prices inside the membership tiers are floors. Do not mix the two when you are working out what a coached session costs.
Doors open at 8am here and 7am at the West Palm Beach hall. For a before-work session, that hour decides which of the two you book.
Cancellation is free at twenty-four hours and a verbal cancellation to a coach or receptionist does not count — the club states that explicitly. It has to go through the booking system or in writing.
Ten doubles courts hold forty players with everybody on court and about fifty-three with rotation. If you are bringing more, the sibling hall twelve miles east has twelve courts and seats forty-eight.
Common questions
- What does a court cost at Xcel Padel Westlake?
- Ninety minutes is $40 a person or $160 per court at peak, and $35 or $140 off-peak. Open play is $30 a head. Group clinics are $50 for an hour and $60 for ninety minutes, and a private lesson for one or two people is $200 or $225. None of these is a promotional floor — it is the club's own published card, and the per-person and per-court figures reconcile exactly.
- When is off-peak?
- The club's own definition, given in its membership small print, is weekdays 11:30am to 4pm and weekends 1pm to 10pm. That definition is written for club credit rather than printed on the rate card, so it is the club's working sense of non-peak rather than a formal label — but it means most of the weekend falls in the cheaper band.
- Are the courts air-conditioned?
- All ten are indoor, and the club's own words for them are "perfect lighting, acoustics and temperature" and "perfect light, air". It does not say air-conditioned and does not say climate-controlled, so this page does not either. A rival club's blog describes these courts as climate-controlled, which is that club's phrasing rather than this one's.
- Is a membership worth it here?
- The entry tier is $99 a month for this hall alone, the cheapest padel membership in Palm Beach County, and the middle tier is $300 for both Xcel halls. The entry tier's court prices read $35 at peak and $25 off-peak, but the page omits "per person" where the sibling location's page includes it, so confirm that before doing the maths. Against a $40 non-member peak rate, the entry tier pays for itself at real frequency rather than on an occasional game.
- How many people can play in one booking?
- Ten doubles courts seat forty players with nobody resting and stretch to about fifty-three with rotation. A ninety-minute slot gives roughly six rounds at a points target of 32. The sibling hall in West Palm Beach has twelve courts and seats forty-eight if your group is bigger.
