The STOK Club is a new two-court venue at Jl. Kp 15 in Cilenggang, and its pitch is a pair of things done properly rather than a long list done adequately: two exclusive courts on international-grade Mondo Pro carpet, on the same site as Stok Espresso. Its own summary is "perfect court, perfect coffee, perfect place for your community", and for a venue aiming at a regular group rather than at drop-in bookings that is a coherent proposition. Mondo is the carpet used at professional level and only three venues in this city name it. It holds 4.93 across five reviews, so treat the average as very early, and runs 07:00 to 22:00 daily.
The rules are three lines: sports shoes on court, no smoking or vaping with IQOS and e-cigarettes permitted, and bin your rubbish. Nothing is published about reschedules or refunds, so ask. Pricing is Rp200.000 an hour on both bands, with the lower figure on the listing being the venue's own trial-period promotion rather than a standing rate.
Getting there
Jl. Kp 15, RT.12/RW04, Cilenggang, Serpong 15310 — the Cilenggang plots off Jl. Raya Serpong, near SWASH and Avenue Padel Club. Car parking on site.
Running a session here
The STOK Club has 2 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 8 to 10 players. 8 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 10 players, 2 people sit out each round. 2 courts tops out at 10 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 8 players is 7 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 4 rounds on 2 courts.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
Two courts is eight on court and a ceiling of ten. An eight-player Americano needs seven rounds and an hour gives six, so book ninety minutes to complete it.
This is a venue to make a home ground rather than a venue to book once. The espresso bar and the two-court scale are both aimed at a group that comes back weekly.
