Southwest Padel Club has four courts at Lengkong Karya in Serpong — three regular and one VIP — and it is unusually direct about what the VIP court is for. Where other venues sell a premium court as a nicer room, Southwest states that its VIP court is designated for professional players and competitive matches, with a wider hitting area and more personal space than the regular courts, and an exclusive indoor VIP lounge attached for players, guests and private events. That makes it the natural finals court for a group running a bracket. It holds 4.88 across 19 reviews and runs 06:00 to midnight seven days.

The rules are short and grouped: courts are only for players with a confirmed booking, arrive at least ten minutes early, and finish on time out of respect for the next booking. Appropriate sportswear and non-marking shoes. Only padel rackets on court. Respect for players, staff and guests, with unsportsmanlike or disruptive behaviour not tolerated. Bin your rubbish, and the venue is not responsible for unattended belongings. Regular courts run Rp150.000 to Rp200.000 an hour on both bands; the VIP court is the Rp300.000 and Rp450.000 end of the listing.

Running a session here

Southwest Padel Club has 4 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 16 to 21 players. 16 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 21 players, 5 people sit out each round. 4 courts tops out at 21 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 16 players is 15 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court needs about 8 rounds to climb 4 courts, and the booking gives 6.

If you book fewer courts

Four courts is sixteen on court and a ceiling of twenty-one. An hour is six rounds to 21 — a Mexicano; a sixteen-player Americano would want fifteen rounds.

Book the three regular courts for the rounds and the VIP court for the final. Its lounge is where the twelve players who are out can watch it, which is a better shape than four simultaneous finals.
