Rimba Courts calls itself a communal, nature-inspired play court designed to fit into urban life: open, shaded and breathable, shaped by a forest environment so the rhythm of the place is calmer than a sealed hall. Unusually, the three courts are described one by one rather than as a set. Court 1, Rimba View, is green carpet with a jungle-like outlook. Court 2, Intense Sesh, is brown carpet with a wide space between the courts, which is what a group that runs balls down actually wants. Court 3, Corner Field, is green again but tucked into a more private corner. Choosing between them is a real decision here rather than a formality.

The house rules amount to two words — keep it clean — so the reschedule and refund policy needs asking about directly. Hours differ by day and generously so: 07:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, but 06:00 to midnight at weekends, which is one of the few venues in Ciputat that opens wider rather than narrower on a Sunday. Rates are Rp110.000 to Rp150.000 an hour on both bands, with a Rp200.000 top slot.

Getting there

Jl. Aria Putra no A 4, Serua Indah, Ciputat 15414 — the same road as Gas Padel Court and Aria Racquet Arena, which makes Aria Putra a three-venue street. Car and motorbike parking on site.

Running a session here

Rimba Courts has 3 courts, and a 60-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.

  • Bring 12 to 16 players. 12 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
  • Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 21 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
  • At 16 players, 4 people sit out each round. 3 courts tops out at 16 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.

Formats that fit

  • Americano a full rotation at 12 players is 11 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
  • Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
  • King of the Court winners move up a court, losers move down. Works from 6 rounds on 3 courts.

If you book fewer courts

Three courts is twelve on court and a ceiling of sixteen. An hour is six rounds to 21 — a Mexicano; twelve players want eleven rounds for a full Americano.

Take Court 2 for the competitive pairs. The wide space between courts is the venue's own note and it is the one that changes how a hard rally plays.
