Seven courts on a rooftop, and the venue's own phrase for them is precise and worth keeping intact: "custom covered rooftop courts". Covered — repeated on its site, its booking system and its Pilates studio's site — and at no point air-conditioned, which is a distinction that matters in Aventura in July and which this page preserves rather than smoothing. They sit on the roof of the parking garage serving the 10X office building, designed with perimeter netting and, per the original filing, features intended to make a court "feel like it's not on a roof".
The self-description is the most confident in the city: "ICON Padel is Miami's first covered rooftop luxury padel club, a destination where sport, wellness, and lifestyle converge above the skyline… This is not just about padel—it's about rising into a new standard of play, connection, and prestige." What backs it up is that the place is really a wellness campus with courts on top — seven court cabanas, an organic kitchen, a Pilates studio, yoga, sauna and cold plunge, a beer and wine bar, a matcha bar, a longevity clinic, a dermatology partner and, yes, a car wash. Every match is recorded by an AI camera platform that returns stats and highlights.
Membership is published in full, initiation fees included, which almost nobody here does: Royal at $350 a month plus a one-time $1,500, and Iconic at $785 plus $2,000, the upper tier adding twenty Pilates classes a month, 10% off across the venue, a guest pass and a monthly smoothie. Court rates are deliberately not published — the venue's own FAQ says rates vary by time and day and sends you to the app. The coaching is one named professional, Pablo Estruch, across five clinic tiers that publish real curricula and goals: rally three to five balls consistently at beginner, use the walls confidently at low intermediate, vibora and bandeja at high intermediate, spins and mental toughness at advanced.
The access question has a clear answer, and it is the right one: non-members can book. The venue's FAQ says so twice over — "Yes. You can book a court as a non-member through the Playtomic app and experience the club before joining" — with a three-day booking window against members' ten. The founder said the same before opening, having become a padel convert after his sister married a Spaniard and then finding it impossible to book a court in South Florida.
Getting there
NE 29th Avenue in Aventura, on the roof of the 10X building's garage, with valet parking and EV charging on site. You are going up rather than in — the courts are above the parking structure, not beside it.
Running a session here
Icon Padel Club has 7 courts, and a 90-minute booking is the slot to plan around. That fixes almost everything else about the evening.
- Bring 28 to 37 players. 28 is everyone on court every round; past that you are running a sit-out queue, which is fine but somebody has to track it.
- Expect about 6 rounds once you take out warm-up and changeovers — play each to 32 points so every court finishes together and the scores stay comparable.
- At 37 players, 9 people sit out each round. 7 courts tops out at 37 players before the sit-out queue is longer than the court time.
Formats that fit
- Americano a full rotation at 28 players is 27 rounds and the booking holds 6, so you play a slice of it. Fine for an evening, but the standings are a snapshot rather than a complete table.
- Mexicano re-pairs by the standings each round, so the games stay close. 6 rounds is enough for the table to mean something.
- King of the Court needs about 14 rounds to climb 7 courts, and the booking gives 6.
| Courts | Everyone plays | Up to |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 | 5 |
| 2 | 8 | 10 |
| 3 | 12 | 16 |
| 4 | 16 | 21 |
| 5 | 20 | 26 |
| 6 | 24 | 32 |
| 7 | 28 | 37 |
Seven courts is twenty-eight players on court at once and thirty-seven before the sit-out queue is the session — the second-largest padel group in Aventura and more than most organizers will ever need.
Ninety minutes gives six rounds to 32 points. At twenty-eight players an Americano wants twenty-seven rounds, so it is arithmetically impossible in one booking; run a Mexicano, or book four courts and bring sixteen.
Covered is not cooled, and on a roof in summer that is the sentence to plan around. Book early or late rather than the middle of the day, and note the venue opens at 7am.
No court rate is published, so a group budget has to start with a phone call. The five clinic tiers publish their curricula and goals, which makes this an unusually good venue for a group with genuinely mixed levels — you can put people in the right room rather than guessing.
Non-members get a three-day booking window against members' ten, so a Saturday evening is realistically a members' slot. Plan a weekday or book the moment the window opens.
Common questions
- Are the rooftop courts covered or air-conditioned?
- Covered. The venue's own phrase is "custom covered rooftop courts", used consistently across its channels, and it never claims air conditioning — a distinction worth keeping in an Aventura summer.
- Can non-members book?
- Yes, and the venue's own FAQ says so outright: you can book a court as a non-member through the app before joining. Non-members get a three-day booking window, members ten days.
- What does membership cost?
- Royal is $350 a month plus a one-time $1,500 initiation fee; Iconic is $785 a month plus $2,000, adding twenty Pilates classes monthly, 10% off club-wide, a guest pass and a monthly smoothie or matcha.
- How many courts are there?
- Seven, all covered, on the roof of the 10X building's parking garage, with seven court cabanas alongside.
