Kraken is four indoor panoramic courts in a suite off South Josey Lane in Farmers Branch, and its own description of them is worth having in full because it is specific in a way most club copy is not: "four stunning indoor panoramic courts, including Texas's first-ever black pro turf court", with "cutting-edge Smart Play AI technology powered by PlaySight" on every one of them, "capturing game highlights and providing detailed performance stats". A black turf court is a checkable claim rather than a slogan, and camera coverage on all four courts is not something any other Dallas club offers.
That video is the reason to come here with a group rather than a partner. PlaySight gives multi-angle highlight clips, instant replay, scoreboard integration and per-player stats, and the club's pitch is that you can put any of it straight onto social media — "The Kraken sees everything!" For a round-robin with a dozen people that turns a Saturday morning into something with a record of itself, which is a different product from an hour of court time.
It is also the club with the least information about what any of it costs, and the gap is unusually literal. The site's navigation lists MEMBERSHIPS, CLINICS and KRAKEN JR ACADEMY; all three of those URLs return 404, checked again on 27 August 2026. The PlayByPoint portal the nav points at instead sits behind Cloudflare and refuses anything that is not a browser. There is no Playtomic listing. So the honest answer is that this club publishes no rate, and this page gives no number rather than borrowing one — two directories carry an identical-looking pay-and-play and three-tier membership card between them, neither cites a URL, and one of them is the same site that upgrades "indoor" into "climate-controlled" here.
On that word: Kraken says indoor, four times, and never says cooled. PadelBrowser's "the climate-controlled facility with high ceilings ensures year-round play" appears nowhere in the club's own writing, and nor does a ceiling height. In a Dallas July the difference between a roof and air conditioning is the whole question, so this page leaves it where the club left it: indoor, and ask.
What is unambiguous is the hours and the room around the courts. Seven days a week, 7:30am to 11:59pm, printed the same way on the location page, the club-hours page and the footer of every page — no other venue in the metro is open that late, and a 10pm start on a weeknight is a normal booking here rather than a special request. Alongside the courts are lounge areas, a fully equipped gym, a recreation area and dedicated workspaces, which is the one amenity in this whole city nobody else lists. Somebody is working from Kraken between matches, and the club built for it.
Coaching is real but under-documented: the Kraken Jr. Academy takes 8 to 13-year-olds in the club's own words — "high-energy sessions that boost fitness, grow confidence, and build lasting friendships—all while having an absolute blast on court" — and clinics exist as a nav item that books elsewhere. No coach is named anywhere on the club's own site, and social play and tournaments are attested by reviewers rather than by a published calendar. The footer still reads © 2024. This is a trading club with a lightly maintained website, and the two things a host most wants — a price and a booking rule — are both on the far side of a phone call to (469) 232-7021.
Getting there
14510 South Josey Lane, Suite 216, in Farmers Branch, roughly 15 miles north-west of downtown Dallas with surface parking outside the suite.
Do not confuse it with Net Racquet Club, which was three miles away on Spring Valley Road and whose domain has lapsed. One directory claims the two are the same business and prints a rate card that belongs to neither.
Four courts seat sixteen, which makes this the right room in Dallas for a proper Americano. Twenty-one is the ceiling before people are queueing rather than resting.
This page carries no round-by-round plan because the club publishes neither a rate nor a session length, and inventing a slot would produce numbers that look calculated and are not. Ask for both when you ring.
Ask specifically whether the price is per court or per player. Dallas splits both ways — Preston Playhouse charges per court, North Texas Racquet Club per person — and with sixteen players the answer is a four-fold difference in the bill.
If the video is why you came, ask how to get the clips before you play rather than after. It is on all four courts, and it is the thing here that a group will actually talk about afterwards.
The 11:59pm close is real and it is the club's own published figure on three separate pages. A 9:30pm or 10pm start is a normal Dallas booking here in a way it is nowhere else in the metro.
Common questions
- How many courts does Kraken Padel Club have?
- Four, all indoor and panoramic, and the club describes one of them as Texas's first black pro turf court. Every court carries PlaySight video recording, instant replay and player stats.
- Are the courts air-conditioned?
- The club says indoor and does not claim cooling. A directory describes the building as climate-controlled, but that phrase appears nowhere in Kraken's own words, so it is worth asking when you book.
- What does it cost to play at Kraken?
- The club publishes no rate. Its own memberships and clinics pages return 404 and its booking portal is not readable without a browser session, so the price comes from ringing (469) 232-7021 or opening the PlayByPoint portal.
- Can a non-member book a court?
- The booking portal is a public one, which is how non-members reach it, but the club publishes no membership-requirement statement either way. This is the one Dallas venue where that answer is an inference rather than a quote.
- How late is it open?
- 7:30am to 11:59pm, every day, on the club's own location page, club-hours page and site footer. Those are the longest published hours of any padel venue in Dallas.
