Americano schedule for 11 players

2 courts, 14 rounds, and 1 repeated pairing across the whole rotation. Generated by the same code that runs a live session in the app, so this is the schedule you would actually play.

What a real booking fits

The full rotation is 14 rounds, and almost nobody plays 14 of them. This is the number worth checking before you book rather than after: at 21 points a round runs about 8 minutes, and the first ten minutes of any slot go on arriving, warming up and picking a first pairing.

90 min10 rounds71%
120 min13 rounds93%
At 21 points per round. Play to fewer points and you fit more rounds — see the court-time maths for the other targets.

Stopping early costs nothing structural. Partners are spread from the first round onward, so 10 rounds of it is a complete Americano with a real winner — just one where some pairings never came up.

The rotation

Players are numbered 1 to 11. Hand out the numbers however you like — by arrival, by lot, or by putting your strongest players at opposite ends — because Americano scores individuals, so the numbering carries no seeding.

Why 11 doesn't divide cleanly

With 8 seats on 2 courts, 3 players sit out every round. Two or three spare players cannot be rotated without some pair drawing each other twice — that is arithmetic, not a limitation of the generator, and this schedule holds it down to 1 repeat.

  • 2 courts is the most this roster can fill, and the arrangement this schedule assumes. Booking fewer never buys more rounds, only more sitting.
  • The 3 players sitting out keep score for the courts they are next on. It is the one job that makes resting feel like part of the game.
  • One player short is the 10-player rotation, not a broken version of this one.

Playing with a number that doesn’t divide goes through the options in full, including the ones this schedule rules out.

Running it

  • Read one row at a time and call both courts together. Rounds that start together finish together, which is what keeps the rotation honest.
  • Every point counts towards the individual, not the pair. Winning 21–14 banks 21 for both players on the winning side and 14 for both on the losing one.
  • Play to a fixed point total rather than to games. It is the only way both courts finish on time, and it is why a round count can be promised at all.

The scoring is the part a group chat handles worst. How Americano scoring works covers the rules in full, and the court-time maths covers point targets other than 21.
