U Padel is the most complete padel venue in San Antonio in the plainest sense: five courts, a restaurant it runs itself, a pro shop, changing rooms, lockers and a play park, with nothing else competing for the space. Everywhere else in this city padel shares a building with pickleball, soccer or a cinema screen. Here it is the whole business. Its own description reads: "Our complex offers five Sky Padel-certified outdoor courts, a lively and welcoming atmosphere, top-quality food and beverages, and expert coaches ready to support your game. Be sure to visit our pro shop, where you'll find a wide selection of Padel rackets and gear."

Five outdoor crystal doubles courts, and the count agrees with itself twice over — the club's own prose says five, and its booking grid lists Padel 1 through 5 with outdoor, double and crystal tags on every one. Court 1 is named the Warrior Court, the only named show court in Texas padel. CourtSource states flatly that this venue has four courts, none indoor, which is a directory undercounting against two agreeing sources from the club itself; five is right.

Sky Padel-certified is a manufacturer certification, not a climate claim, and this is where the chain's own marketing becomes a trap. U Padel has two clubs, and the other one — in The Woodlands, up in the Houston area — is the indoor one; the chain sells it on precisely that, describing it as the only club of its kind in Texas. San Antonio's five are entirely outdoor, no cover, no cooling, none claimed. If you have read about U Padel being indoor, you have read about the sister club.

The chain site is stale enough that nothing on it should be used for this venue. It still describes the San Antonio club as scheduled to open in June 2024, still directs bookings to a booking app this club does not use, and gives chain-generic pricing of "starting from $15 to $30 USD per 1.5 hours" — floor language about a two-club average rather than a rate for these courts. This club books through Playtomic and none of those figures apply.

What is published is the membership ladder, and it is a real one. Member Premium at $220 a month brings unlimited bookings, a 30-day window, up to two bookings a day and three active, 10% off the pro shop and league discounts, with a welcome kit for the first ten members. Founders Premium is $180 with unlimited bookings and an 8-hour cancellation window. Member Pro is $135 for eight bookings a month with a 10-day window. Student is $115 for unlimited bookings between 10:30am and 4:30pm. One inconsistency to query rather than trust: Founders Premium describes a one-month booking window in its own text and a 14-day one in its structured detail.

There is no per-court rate. The booking grid showed no bookable slots on the days it was checked, so no price surfaced, and the honest answer is that this club sells months and does not publish an hour. What it does publish is classes: a Women's Morning Clinic on Tuesdays at 10am, 90 minutes for $26 with eight slots; a Beginners Clinic, 90 minutes at $26 in an open-play format; and Thursdays Rally and Play, 120 minutes for $25 with twelve slots. Leagues are referenced by every membership tier, so they exist, but no league schedule is published — and no coach is named anywhere, which for a club whose own copy promises expert coaches is the one real gap.

Non-members can book, though this club is the one venue in San Antonio without a sentence saying so. The evidence is structural rather than quoted: it runs a public booking tenant with an open court grid and publicly bookable classes and open play, and every membership tier is sold as reduced pricing on courts anyone can reserve. That is a discount ladder, not a gate. Cancellation windows are published per tier — 8 hours for Founders Premium, 12 for the others — and none is published for a non-member.

One detail that says something about how the place is run: the restaurant is the club's own operation with its own ordering site, not a concession. A restaurant, a play park and five courts is a Saturday morning where the people who are not playing have somewhere to be. The club's own blurb ends with a marker for a Spanish version, and it operates bilingually.

Getting there

14630 Judson Road in north-east San Antonio, with private parking on site. This is the only one of the city's four venues that is both inside San Antonio and padel-first.

Careful with the short name. U Padel also matches this club's own sister venue in The Woodlands near Houston, and two unrelated clubs in Indonesia — and the sister club is the indoor one, which is what most of the chain's marketing describes.

Five courts seat twenty, and twenty is the group to build around. Twenty-six is the ceiling, at which six people are resting in every round.

This page carries no round-by-round plan because the club publishes no court rate and no session length. Its own classes run 90 and 120 minutes, which is the shape to ask for.

There is no published court rate, so get one before you commit twenty people. Do not budget off the chain site's $15 to $30 — that is a two-club average in floor language and this club uses a different booking system than the one it names.

If your group plays weekly, do the membership arithmetic. Member Pro at $135 buys eight bookings a month; Student at $115 is unlimited but only between 10:30am and 4:30pm, which on unshaded courts is the hot half of a San Antonio day.

Thursdays Rally and Play is 120 minutes for $25 with twelve slots, and the Beginners Clinic is an open-play format at $26 — both are easier first visits than negotiating an unpublished court rate.

All five courts are outdoor. The indoor U Padel is the sister club near Houston, so plan the hour around the sun.

Common questions

How many courts does U Padel San Antonio have?
Five outdoor crystal doubles courts, named Padel 1 to 5 on its own booking grid with Court 1 called the Warrior Court. The club's own description also says five. One directory says four, and it is undercounting.
Are the courts indoor or air-conditioned?
Neither. All five are outdoor and the club claims no cover or cooling. Sky Padel-certified refers to the court manufacturer. The indoor U Padel is the chain's other club, in The Woodlands near Houston.
What does it cost to play?
No per-court rate is published. Memberships run $115 to $220 a month across four tiers, and classes are priced: $26 for a 90-minute clinic and $25 for a 120-minute Rally and Play. Ignore the chain site's $15–$30 figure, which is a two-club average.
Can a non-member book a court?
Yes, though the club publishes no sentence saying so. It runs a public booking tenant with an open court grid and publicly bookable classes, and its memberships are sold as reduced pricing rather than access — a discount ladder, not a gate.
What are the opening hours?
Its booking system says 6am to midnight every day and its grid runs to 11pm. The club's own food-ordering site says 10pm, so the last two hours are worth confirming.
